Let me first say that this wasn't my initial design that I had though of, but I was struggling to make it on vectary, so I came up with this design. The first thing I did was draw out my design in my notebook. Next I drew a rectangle inside a rectangle, the inside rectangle being the length and thickness of my phone. I then extruded the outside rectangle up .5 in so that my phone would be held up.
During this rotation I learned how to work with a new piece of software, vectary.com. I couldn't use inventor because it wouldn't download on my computer and sketchup didn't work either, so I tried using vectary. What I learned from this was that inventor is actually very easy to use because vectary is much more confusing and strangely set up when compared to inventor. But probably most importantly I learned patience because I took me quite a few tries to make my object and it was getting kind of annoying, but I was patient and figured it out, sort of.
